Our Story
Both Drs. Jayne graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. They matched to residencies in Family Medicine and Pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. They both have worked in various medical practices since completing their training, and are excited to be in Georgetown, Kentucky to provide their patients with comprehensive primary medical care.
In Summer 2023, they opened Bluegrass Direct Primary Care to serve Georgetown and the surrounding Central Kentucky communities. With years of experience and a shared passion for providing exceptional patient care, they have built a team of skilled healthcare professionals to offer a wide range of medical services. Their dedication to staying up-to-date with the latest research, prevention guidelines, and treatments ensures that their patients receive the best possible care. Both Drs. Jayne are committed to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment where patients feel valued and have a firm understanding of their healthcare plan.
Dr. Colton Jayne is from Salyersville, KY where he grew up working for his family's business. He learned the value of hard work early and even now has a difficult time being idle. He enjoys modeling a healthy lifestyle for his patients by prioritizing his own health and wellness. He is an avid fitness enthusiast, spending time daily weightlifting, running, and most importantly, keeping up with his two young boys Ezra & Ellis. Dr. Jayne believes that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is crucial to achieving optimal physical and mental health. He offers a specialized weight loss membership for those who are struggling with their personal health/fitness goals. He also has extended certification in Geriatric Medicine, Sports Medicine, and Aesthetics.
Dr. Kristina Jayne (Pescosolido) is from Prestonsburg, KY where she grew up in music ministry in the Methodist Church pastored by her father. Her most cherished aspect of being a pediatrician is caring for families when their children are born, and getting to watch them grow into healthy, successful, young adults. She is passionate about providing children with exceptional, preventative care, as well as managing their acute and chronic care needs, including asthma, behavioral & developmental needs, mental health care (including ADHD & Autism), newborn lactation consultation, and day-to-day illnesses/parent concerns. She enjoys cooking, anything outdoors, and most of all spending time with her two beautiful sons.
In addition to their passion for medicine, the medical couple enjoys spending quality time with loved ones. Their commitment to both their career and family is a testament to their strong work ethic and caring nature. We are confident that their dedication to providing exceptional care will make a positive impact on our patients' health and wellness.
